She Reads Truth | Soul Detox | Day 20

Today’s Scripture: Psalm 34:1-22

Today’s Reading:

In order to face the “what ifs” of fear, you must seek God until He takes away your fears.

How different could your life be if you put your full trust in God and strived to seek Him daily?

In conversation about this, a friend said:

There is a fine line between being aware and preparing for realistic possibilities and letting yourself be controlled by unrealistic fear. In the past when I have trusted in the Lord with my fears, they seem to not matter anymore… I have to be aware of the fear I’m experiencing, identify it for what it is and make the conscience decision to lay it down

This rings so clear to me, and what a great challenge.

Especially in lieu of my life this past year and a half. Between my nephew Mikah dying, getting married, moving from TN to OR and other family situations, I’ve learned that you’re never quite prepared no matter how much you try. The preparation comes in our intentionally seeking out the LORD and choosing to trust in him; just like we choose to love, we choose not to fear. This is the groundwork for when those things happen that we can’t control. This is the best preparation we can have for anything life throws at us.
